How Much Does It Cost To Remove A Tree?

Tree Removal Service 12

Every tree is different and unique.  The cost to remove a tree depends on the tree.  In order to give an accurate cost to remove a tree, the estimator needs to see it in person.

The following are the factors that Beaver Tree Service, LLC’s estimators examine to determine the cost to remove a tree:

1. Location – The biggest factor that affects tree removal cost is the location of the tree.  If the tree is close to your home, other structures or power lines, the removal is more difficult.

2. Size of the tree – Larger trees will cost you more because there is much more work involved in removing it.

3. Equipment needed – If you need a very large tree removed that’s close to your home and can’t be done by climbing, we may recommend the use of a crane to lower sections of the tree, piece by piece.

4. Time and the crew required – Based on the above factors, our estimators will determine how long the job will take and how many people we’ll need to do the job safely.  Some jobs may take an hour or two to complete and other larger jobs may take up to a week.

Tree removal can be very dangerous when done incorrectly.  Before you hire someone to remove your tree, check their credentials.  Ask these questions:

1. Do you have insurance?  Have them provide a copy of their Certificate of Liability Insurance.  Be sure to check the policy dates to make sure the insurance hasn’t lapsed.  Ask for their insurance agents’ name and phone number to verify insurance is in effect.

2. Do you have any referrals I could contact?  Any reputable tree service company will be more than happy to give you referrals.

3. Do you have an online presence where I could read some reviews from your customers?  Here are some websites where you could check out reviews:  Better Business Bureau, Angie’s List, Yelp and even Facebook.  Most companies will put a link to these sites on their own website.

4. How do you plan on removing my tree?  Ask for details on how exactly the company is planning to remove your tree.  Be sure to get a detailed estimate before they leave your property.  If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask.  You want to know exactly what you’re paying for.
